South Africa, October 17 – Opening her account at Turffontein in South Africa on Thursday was promising three year-old filly Tamaanee, a $40,000 Inglis Classic Summer Book Sale purchase from the Yarraman Park draft.

A three year-old filly by Teofilo (IRE), the Sean Tarry trained Tamaanee dashed away to win the 1450 metre maiden by four and a quarter lengths after finishing second at her only previous run.

Foaled and raised at Yarraman Park for Pedrille Thoroughbreds, Tamaanee is the first winner for Cangino, a winning half-sister to Champion Australian First Season Sire I Am Invincible.

Yarraman Park sold a Magic Albert yearling colt at Magic Millions this year for Pedrille Thoroughbreds for $55,000 from Cangino and she has a yearling filly and filly foal to follow by Dream Ahead (USA).
